Remedial massage
Remedial Massage is the systematic assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management. It is performed to create favourable conditions for the body to return to normal health after injury, and is defined by the premise that the treatment can reasonably reverse certain physical effects that are present in patients. If a patient has suffered a moderate injury resulting in structural pain and/or loss of function, then remediation may be required to reduce or eliminate pain and help restore the body’s function to normal.
Remedial Massage is designed to balance muscle/soft tissue length and tension which may in turn promote the return to normal joint function. Massage also promotes the flow of blood and lymph, particularly to injured areas, thus reducing damaged cells, scar tissue and adhesions that may result from injury.

Shiatsu
Truly holistic form of bodywork established and cultivated in Japan drawing strong influences from Traditional Chinese Medicine such as Qi concepts and consideration of organ health, seasons, nutrition, digestion, body types, senses, environment, etc to maintain health by treating pre-symptomatic state( manifests often as musculoskeletal discomfort or psychological changes) and preventing dis-ease.
By applying gentle ~ firm pressure with finger, palm, elbow, sometimes knee and foot, incorporating various Meridian stretches and acupoint therapy to balance energy (= Chi, Qi, Ki, Prana, Life Force ....) flow.
Kei's Shiatsu style is based on 'Zen Shiatsu' established by Shizuto Masunaga(1925-1981).
Usually start by assessing Hara( =abdomen which is considered to be the energetic centre) or Back, pulse , observing skin colour or listening and feeling what aspect needs attention to bring balance and harmony to the person and their relationship to the environment.
Kei has a unique style of combining fascial release/ rebalancing.
*Recent studies suggest that acupuncture points and meridians are overlapping with the lining and thicker part of nerves and vascular rich Fascia, the connective tissue system that permeates throughout the body. Mainly consists of collagen, in the living body, Fascia works as a support and the medium that carries, circulate and distribute water and, hence, as conductors of electric currents. Stimulation such as Massage and Movement helps the Fascia to re-hydrate and maintain the healthy tissue functions.
Rolfing®
Structural Integration
Rolfing® is a ever-evolving hands-on bodywork developed by Dr.Ida.P.Rolf(1896-1979), based on decades of extensive researches and clinical applications, facilitate better alignment of the body through fascial manipulation and movement education( or re-patterning). Dr.Rolf’s vision of Structural Integration(SI) flourished in 70’ with the rise of Human Potential Movement. The Institute was established in Boulder,Colorado in 1971.
Systematically woven 10-session series for transforming whole body. The main focus of the series is on integrating and restoring the body’s tensegrity with the consideration of body’s gravity response. The results are long lasting.
“ If you can imagine how it feels to live in a fluid, light, balanced body, free of pain, stiffness and chronic stress, at ease with itself and the earth’s gravitational field; then you will understand the goals of Rolfing.”
~ Ida.P.Rolf
